Student Drug Testing Summit for Charter Schools

ONDCP will be hosting a Student Drug Testing Summit for charter schools* in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, December 19, 2007. The goal of the Summit is to inform community leaders and local school officials about random student drug testing and to promote consideration of this drug prevention strategy at the local level. National, regional, and local experts will speak on a variety of topics including types of testing available, legal issues, program development, and the importance of student assistance programs. The U.S. Department of Education grant program in support of random student drug testing efforts will also be discussed. There is no registration fee.
